Age Calculator
Enter a date of birth to get an exact age, to the day.
How to calculate your age
- Enter your date of birth.
- Leave “Age on date” as today, or change it to find an age on any past or future date.
- Read your age in years, months, and days, and how long until your next birthday.
How it works
Age is counted in whole years first, then whole months, then the days left over, the same way people say “5 years, 3 months.” Totals in days, weeks, and hours come from the exact number of days between the dates. Example: born 1995-06-15, on 2026-10-16 you are 31 years, 4 months, 1 day old, which is 11,446 days. For a ticking timer to the big day, try the birthday countdown.
Frequently asked questions
How is age calculated for someone born on February 29?
In common years this calculator moves the birthday to February 28. Some laws use March 1 instead, so check local rules for legal purposes.
How many days old am I?
Enter your birth date and read Total days. It counts every day since your birth, including leap days.
Does the time of birth matter?
Ages here are counted in calendar days, which is how age is normally stated. The hours figure is total days × 24.
