Pay for 8 hours
How to calculate time and a half
Multiply your regular hourly rate by 1.5. For pay over several hours, multiply that rate by the hours.
Example: $18/hour × 1.5 = $27/hour. Five hours of time and a half = 5 × $27 = $135. Double time is $18 × 2 = $36/hour.
