How it works
Every conversion uses your browser's built-in time zone database (the IANA tz database), so daylight saving changes are applied for the date you choose — not just today. Abbreviations are shortcuts: EST opens New York, GMT opens London (GMT/BST), and UTC stays fixed. Ambiguous ones like CST (US vs China) or IST (India vs Ireland) use the most searched meaning, so pick a city when in doubt.
Frequently asked questions
Does the converter handle daylight saving time?
Yes. It looks up the real offset for the selected date in each zone, so a meeting in July and one in December convert correctly.
Can I share a converted time?
Yes. Copy link creates a URL with the source zone, date, time, and target zones, so anyone who opens it sees the same comparison in their browser.
Why does my city not appear?
Search by the nearest large city or by zone name (for example Asia/Kolkata for any city in India). Every city in a zone shares the same clock time.
